Joseph Merritt
Operations Pastor
Joseph Merritt serves as Operations Pastor at Highview Baptist Church. In his role, Joseph oversees execution of accounting, human resources, and other fiduciary responsibilities of the church. Before joining the staff at Highview, Joseph served at Southern Seminary in the accounting office and on staff at Fruit Cove Baptist Church in St Johns, FL. He earned a Master of Divinity in Leadership from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2019 and a BBA in Accounting from Jacksonville University in 2015. Joseph is married to Andrea and they enjoy golfing, watching movies, and supporting the best teams in football— the Oklahoma Sooners, Florida State Seminoles, Philadelphia Eagles, and Jacksonville Jaguars.
