Day 7

Scripture to Read: Exodus 31:1–18

God is so awesome and because He is our Provider, we can rest in Him and trust Him that He will meet our needs in what He has called us to do—we see this beautifully in Exodus 31:1–11, as God told Moses about the men He had “filled with the Spirit of God in wisdom and skill, in understanding and intelligence, in knowledge, and in all kinds of craftsmanship” (Exodus 31:3). The men God raised up would build all the things God had told Moses must be built for His place of worship. God tells us in 1 Peter 4:10–11, “As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11 Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” Through God’s Holy Spirit, we have also been given gifts to serve Him well, all for His glory, honor, and praise. Then, God reminded Moses (in Exodus 31:12–17) that he must tell the Israelites about observing the Sabbath and keeping it holy. Again, God reminded Moses in Exodus 31:17, “It is a sign between Me and the sons of Israel forever; for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day He ceased from labor, and was refreshed.”

Don’t forget to pray using the A.C.T.S. (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication) method!
