Day 2

Scripture to Read: Romans 8:26

As God showed us yesterday, prayer is difficult for everyone. We often feel inadequate in our prayers. Sometimes we’re even afraid to pray out loud for fear that someone will think us weird or weak because of what we prayed or possibly did not pray. The passages we’ll examine this week will help us overcome our fears of prayer and see the incredible importance of prayer for our spiritual maturity. The good news is that God desires us to be at complete peace talking with Him. God wants us to be in such deep fellowship with Him that we are comfortable sharing with Him what is on our hearts. God has told us in Philippians 4:6–7, Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. God knows that we are anxious people or He would not have told us in Philippians 4:6 not to be anxious. God’s remedy for overcoming our anxiousness is to fellowship with Him through prayer. God uses four different words for prayer in Philippians 4:6; that is how we know how important it is for us to pray. We will experience the fullness of God’s peace as we pray, pray, pray, and pray some more. Remember, we are joining the Holy Spirit as He is already praying for us. Prayer is a great reminder that we cannot do this life without fellowshipping with our Lord.

Challenge & Application

· What did God teach you about anxiousness, and how do you overcome it? · Why do we struggle with walking in God’s Truth, especially when it comes to being anxious?

Don’t forget to pray using the A.C.T.S. (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication) method!

Day 1

This week, we have an incredible opportunity to focus on prayer and how God works in the midst of our prayer life. Prayer is a vital part of our daily fellowship with God. Day 3

How important is prayer? Martin Luther said, “To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing.” Martin Luther’s statement is so true. We must stay in constant fellowship with our Lord God Almighty to live the spiritual life God has called us to live and overcome the battles we face each day. Since we kn...

Day 4

There is no doubt that this world will end one day. God records this fact in Matthew 24, 2 Peter 3, and Revelation 21. God will destroy the heavens and the earth, but He’ll create a brand new one. In the same way, we will not remain in these “fleshly shells” in which we now dwell. So, what should we focus on while we’re here? Don’t take life ...

Day 5

As we begin today, a great reminder for us is that God is One and manifests Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God being Three in One is often hard to understand or explain, but that does not change the fact that it is true. The reason this is so important for us to understand is that God the Father, Son, and Spirit all have an integral...

Day 6

The opportunity to examine our prayer lives is good for all of us. Even though there are only two verses to read this week, God has given us a lot in His Word on prayer. Today we must remember how important Christian friendships are to our growth and maturity in Christ. In Philippians 1:7–11, God shows us that if we genuinely care for people,...

Day 7

Prayer is our daily, hourly, minute-by-minute communication with God. Prayer is our way of fellowshipping with our Heavenly Daddy. We all use social media to stay connected with family, friends, co-workers, bosses, and others. God wants us in an attitude of prayer at all times (1 Thessalonians 5:17, Colossians 4:2). Praying is like how we use...
